Here are some frequently asked questions on donation.
A: No. Caritas Singapore and Catholic Foundation are different organisations.
The Caritas Singapore family works on the ground to serve the vulnerable and marginalised in our community regardless of race, religion or nationality. The people in need in our community include low-income families, youth-at-risk, the incarcerated, people with physical disabilities, and also people with mental health problems.

Contributions to Catholic Foundation are for the use of the Archdiocese of Singapore for the work of formation and evangelisation. They fund causes supported by the archbishop that are aligned to the vision of the archdiocese to build a more vibrant, evangelising and missionary Church. These include the operations of archdiocesan organisations, the upkeep and welfare of priests, and several infrastructural needs such as building projects, maintenance and land lease renewals.
A: Yes, donations to Caritas Singapore will qualify for 250% tax deduction. You do not need to declare the donation amount in your income tax return. Tax deductions for qualifying donations will be automatically reflected in your tax assessments based on the information from Caritas Singapore. All individuals and businesses are required to provide their identification number (e.g. NRIC/FIN/UEN) when making donations to Caritas Singapore in order to be given tax deductions on the donations.
A: Yes. With the current COVID-19 situation, online donation is a preferred choice.

A: Currently, we only accept online donations via giving.sg. However, we may explore these platforms in the future.
