Participants of all ages and abilities are invited to join us for a family-friendly walk and community fair to empower our work in serving marginalised communities.

Proceeds from registrations and donations will be channeled to the participants' chosen organisation and to cover the event's organising expenses. 
Each participant will receive a Walkathon Pack that includes an event T-shirt, an umbrella, and other goodies.
Objectives

Increase community exposure for Caritas Singapore Family members.

Foster teambuilding and bonding among staff, volunteers, clients, and donors of member organisations.

Rally support for participating organisations through engaging, family-friendly activities.

These organisations are involved in serving marginalised communities in our society, regardless of race or religion.

Must I wear the walk T-shirt at the walkathon?

Yes as it is proof that you have signed up for the event and it is also to show solidarity with the Caritas Singapore family community.

When and where is the walk pack collection?

Dates: 28 and 29 September, Saturday and Sunday
Time: 10am to 7pm
Venue: CIMB Plaza (Raffles Place)

Is there a minimum donation I must make in order to claim tax deduction?

You must make a minimum $20 donation in order to claim tax deduction. Tax deduction is available for donations to all participating organisations except for Society of St Vincent de Paul (National Council of Singapore), Catholic Business Network and Catholic Lawyers Guild. Please remember to fill in your NRIC details during registration.

Is my $20/$60 donation to register for the event eligible for tax deduction?

Tax deduction is possible for all except for Society of St Vincent de Paul (National Council of Singapore), Catholic Business Network and Catholic Lawyers Guild. Please remember to fill in your NRIC details during registration.

How much of my donation goes to my chosen organisation? Where does the rest go?

100% of your donation will go to your chosen organisation minus a small contribution to help cover event costs. Caritas Singapore is bearing the majority of the event expenses and will not be collecting any funds.  

Are there any platform and credit card processing fees? 

No, GIVE.Asia has generously waived the payment processing fee of 1.5% on all donations received for "Walk with Caritas Family".

Are pets allowed?

Yes, but please follow pet etiquette and to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, be a responsible pet owner and clean up after your pet.

What are the wet-weather plans?

We will monitor the weather on the event day and if there is a lightning warning we will have to cancel the event. There will be no refunds.

What do I need to bring to collect my walk pack?

Please bring along your registration email (physical or digital).

If I cannot make it for the collection dates above, how do I collect my walk pack then?

You can come to our office at Caritas Agape Village to collect your walk pack until 2 October 2024, 5pm.

What will happen if I am unable to make it for the walkathon after I register? Can I pass my registration to my friends/family? Or can I get a refund?

Yes, you can pass your registration on as the t-shirt will be proof of registration on the event day. No refunds will be given.

What will happen if the t-shirt sizes I chose is too small/big? Can I request an exchange for another size?

Yes, you can exchange your t-shirt with us at our office at Caritas Agape Village until 2 October 2024, 5pm.

I'm not sure if I can join the walk, can I sign up on the day itself?

No, registrations would have closed by then. However, you are welcome to join us for the event, and we encourage you to make a donation to your chosen organisation.
