#ShareJourney

SJ logo

Caritas Internationalis’ Share the Journey campaign was launched by Pope Francis at St Peter’s Square, Vatican City, on 27 September 2017. The aim of the campaign is to promote a ‘culture of encounter’ by increasing the spaces and opportunities for migrants and the local community to meet and share.

The campaign’s circular logo is made up of people holding hands. We can do the same.

President of Caritas Internationalis, Cardinal Tagle’s invitation to Share the Journey

In Singapore
We are mindful of our migrant ancestry as well as the migrants in our midst today. These include foreign workers, domestic helpers, spouses and expats. Let us also remember our fellow Singaporeans working overseas – being migrants of another country. Positive encounters between migrants and local communities will help us build a stronger society.

End of Share the Journey campaign

Caritas Singapore and Caritas Humanitarian Aid & Relief Initiatives, Singapore (CHARIS) will be leading the way on this campaign.

In 2017, Caritas Singapore and CHARIS will be partnering with ACMI Singapore in their ongoing migrant activities. These include Migrant Sunday Mass (1 Oct 2017), Skills Training and Language Courses at Agape Village, and ACMI’s signature Bread Basket programme that reaches out to the migrant workers at their dormitories.

We will build a human library of stories, photos and videos for everyone with a migration experience to share their story; to have a voice.

Through the Share the Journey campaign, we hope to create a positive difference in our community.
