Human Dignity and Development in the Era of AI

Option 3

The rise of sophisticated AI technologies is changing the world rapidly in ways no one has foreseen, and they continue to evolve at breakneck speeds. Just as Pope Leo XIII took on the consequences of the Industrial Revolution and started modern Catholic Social Teaching tradition, Pope Leo XIV aims to do the same for today’s digital revolution. His first encyclical, Magnifica Humanitas, is an invitation to the entire Church and all peoples, for we are all sisters and brothers, to safeguard human dignity in these turbulent times.

Come and join us at Catholic Centre to hear Fr David’s lecture on discerning the impact of AI in light of the encyclical and consider together what all this means for us. While a short evening session might not answer all our questions, we will begin to read the changing times with eyes of faith.
