Roles and Responsibilities:
Care for Creation
Collaborate closely with the Sustainability Committee team in reaching out to various parishes in Singapore to raise awareness, adopt and practise environmentally conscious operations procedures align with Catholic Social Teachings.
- Assist to develop sustainability presentation materials.
- Provide research on sustainability related matters, including monitoring and reporting of emerging sustainability trends, regulations etc.
- Plan and execute various sustainability projects, and track sustainability performance.
- Serve as a liaison between internal and community partners including Archdiocese, in all matters relating to environmental / sustainability issues.
- Secretariat to the Care for Creation committee.
- Support the administrative needs of the Care for Creation committee.
Formation
- Support Caritas Singapore and Formation Committee in development and execution of Catholic Social Teaching programmes and events.
- Support Young Adults Committee in planning and executing events to promote the Church’s mission among young adults Catholics.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Degree in Environmental studies, Sustainability or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in sustainability, research or project management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills

Job Description:
- Support Caritas Singapore in the development and execution of social mission programmes and events.
- Involved in the design of Catholic Social Teaching (CST) content and events (including Care for Creation);
- Promote and engage parishes, schools and organisations to encourage active participation in our Church’s social mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement programmes and events based on Catholic Social Teaching (CST), including themes like care for creation.
- Collaborate with parishes, schools, and organisations to encourage active participation in social mission efforts.
- Support relevant committees in outreach and engagement with key stakeholders (e.g. member organisations, ministries, schools, Laudato Si ministries etc).
- Provide administrative support: coordinate meetings, take minutes, manage logistics, and handle procurement.
- Support team and organisation-wide events or duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (e.g. Social Work, Business, Communications, Marketing, Environmental Studies).
- Fresh graduates welcome; 1–2 years of experience in project coordination or social service is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Digitally savvy and comfortable with document management.
- Passionate about the Catholic faith and open to learning CST.

As a Building Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the maintenance
operations of Caritas Agape Village building and maintenance of facilities. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of all building systems, including electrical, mechanical, and safety components.
You will lead a team of maintenance personnel, providing direction, training, and guidance to ensure optimal performance.
You will also collaborate, facilitate, and coordinate events held at Caritas Agape Village with the Programme and Membership Team.
Roles and Responsibilities
Facility Maintenance Oversight:
- Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day maintenance activities of the building.
- Ensure the proper functioning of all building systems and equipment.
Preventive Maintenance Planning:
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to extend the life of equipment and reduce unexpected
breakdowns. - Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and other relevant standards.
- Stay informed about changes in regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialised repairs and services.
- Negotiate contracts, oversee work quality, and ensure timely completion of projects.
Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the maintenance budget including sinking fund and optimising resource utilisation.
- Monitor expenses and identify cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance staff.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging skill development and continuous improvement.
Emergency Response Planning:
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure a prompt and effective response to unforeseen events.
Record Keeping and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Generate regular reports to track performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Energy Management:
- Implement energy-efficient practices to reduce operational costs and environmental impact.
Building Security and Safety:
- Ensure the implementation of security measures and safety protocols within the building.
Space Management:
- Optimise the use of space within the building, ensuring efficient layouts and functionality.
Project Management:
- Oversee and manage major maintenance projects, renovations, and facility upgrades.
Communication and Coordination:
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, tenants, and relevant agencies.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other departments and teams as needed.
Continuous Improvement::
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 – 10 years of proven experience in managing operations within either a social work, Voluntary Welfare Organisation (VWO), or non-profit organisation.
- Possession of a general degree, providing a solid foundation for the role.
- Willing and able to work on weekends and public holidays, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to the organisation's mission.
- Familiarity with the Catholic faith and workings of the Catholic Churches and organisations; understanding the unique dynamics of these entities. This ensures a strong alignment with the organisation's values and mission.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across various levels.
- Demonstrates robust leadership abilities, organisational prowess, and a collaborative team spirit.
- Capable of thriving under pressure.
- Possesses a passion for community service and exhibits the maturity required to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
