Abilities Beyond Limitations and Expectations (ABLE) is dedicated to enable and empower the physically challenged to live productive, meaningful and independent lives, and be full contributors to the community.
ABLE was established as a charity in 25 October 2010, and is a registered charity with the National Council of Social Services and accorded an Institution of a Public Character (IPC) since November 2010.

SERVICES AND PROGRAMMES

ABLE provides a suite of centralised services. These services comprise of Case Management, Rehabilitation, Employment, and Programme & Training.

• Case Management: A team of social workers will journey with the Clients and Family Caregivers. The Family Caregivers Respite supports the socio-emotional needs of family caregivers through talks, support groups, interest groups, and retreats.
• Rehabilitation: ABLE’s signature programme, Return-To-Work (RTW) has a team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Speech and Language Therapists who have an RTW-C certification. They provide rehabilitation and coordination to help persons with physical challenges return to the workforce.
• Employment: A team of Employment Support Specialists and Job Coaches are on hand to assist and counsel the Clients and Caregivers to increase their employability. The team journeys with the Clients as they embark on the RTW track.
• Programme & Training: A suite of complementary programmes for Clients as they continue in the rehabilitation journey. The “I am capABLE” programme comprises of Therapeutic, Sports, and Training Programmes. SociABLE allows for Family Caregivers to have respite during the day whilst the Clients are at the centre.
• Transport: Supporting Centralised Services, the wheelchair-accessible, island-wide transport assists persons with mobility challenges.
