  What is it about?
Module 1 - Basic Computer with Microsoft Word
Students will be taught how to use the computer, using Microsoft Word to create documents, edit documents, save documents and how to use the many tools available in the software program.
  Entry requirement
Students must have basic English background (at least ACMI level 2 English) and basic typing skill.
   
Module 2 - MS Word & Excel
Students will be taught basic operating knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel.
They will learn simple document formation and the concept of working with computer. Upon completion, students should be able to open and create
documents in both MS Word and Excel, to save and store files, edit documents
and create emails.
  Entry requirement
Students must have basic English background (at least ACMI level 2 English) and preferably have completed Computer Module 1.
   
Module 3 - Power Point
16 hrs MS Powerpoint & 4 hrs Basic Internet.
At the end of the course, students will be able to create a new presentation with the basic skills - create slides, contents and background formatting, insert clipart, print and preview the presentation slides. Set up and run a presentation with transition and animation effects.

Students will also be taught how to use a search engine to locate information on
the Web. Learn to get free e-mail account. Send and receive e-mail messages and
e-greeting cards.
  Entry requirement
Students must have completed module 1 and 2 to be eligible.

Students must achieve 75% attendance and complete all assignments to be awarded
a certificate of attendance.

Who should attend?
Migrant workers who wish to learn basic computing skills.

How much does it cost?
Contribution of $75 per course.
