What is it about?
MPC is a programme approved by the Catholic Church. It is designed to help couples enter into marriage armed with a permanent commitment to grow in their own couple love through loving communication with each other and to have a Christ-centered relationship.

MPC provides the opportunity for engaged couples to be open with each other - to spend time together to talk honestly about their future. The course will also help you to know yourself in the areas where you are vulnerable, your needs and your expectations. You will also learn to discover your partner's strengths and weaknesses. These discussions will enable you to know each other more intimately. You will then understand why both of you behave the way you do and the likely consequences of this on your future life together as husband and wife.

MPC emphasizes communication between couples. Presentations are given to the group as a whole, but your couple discussions are private. You are encouraged to concentrate on your partner and to get in touch with your deepest and honest feelings when discussing a variety of topics.

Who should attend?
MPC is for couples who are seriously contemplating marriage or are about to tie the knot. They are couples who want to avoid "surprises" after marriage by preparing for that marriage.

The course should be attended preferably before your engagement is formally announced and at least 6 months before the wedding date.

Catholics and non-Catholics are welcomed to attend this course. However the course is Catholic in its theology of marriage as a Sacrament of the Church. It is of benefit to couples where at least one partner is Catholic and they plan to marry in a Catholic Church. But couples of all Faiths can also learn from it and are encouraged to attend.

How much does it cost?
The course fee is S$120.00 per couple. However no couple will be turned away for financial reasons. Please check with the organizers if you have any financial difficulties.
