The International Order
Verbum Dei is founded in 1963 in Mallorca, Spain by Fr. Jaime Bonet. It is an International Missionary Institute of consecrated women, consecrated men and associated missionary families.

The Missionaries Verbum Dei is now present in the five continents. In the region of Asia, there are communities in the Philippines, Taiwan and Singapore.

  The Order in Singapore
The first Verbum Dei missionaries, Maria Jose M. Egido and Yolanda de la Fuente, arrived in Singapore to set up the first foundation in South-East Asia on 12 September 1997.

From a 3-room Clementi flat, the Verbum Dei Missionary Fraternity was born. Today, at their present location at 2A Bury Road, they continue to offer a variety of activities through retreats and

recollections, prayer meetings, formations, Bible classes, mission trips, etc, that help introduce people to God’s word and grow in their faith.
