Villa Francis Home for the Aged

In 1973, the Singapore Council of Social Services invited the FMDM sisters to staff a home for the elderly poor and destitute. Four years later, on 8 January 1977, the first Villa Francis Community was established. The FMDM sisters continue to run and finance the Home until 2002 when it was transferred to Catholic Welfare Services. Today, Villa Francis is being managed with the assistance of the Canossian sisters.

Villa Francis offers a home for the elderly sick and destitute. It is dedicated to providing a continuum of holistic care, while continually improving the care for

the elderly and aged sick through a spectrum of comprehensive nursing and well-balanced programmes to enhance the quality of life in their twilight years.
