Abilities Beyond Limitations and Expectations (ABLE)

Abilities Beyond Limitations and Expectations (ABLE) is dedicated to enable and empower the physically challenged to live productive, meaningful and independent lives, and be full contributors to the community.

ABLE was established as a charity in 25 October 2010, and is a registered charity with the National Council of Social Services and accorded an Institution of a Public Character (IPC) since November 2010.


ABLE operates the Rehabilitation Centre and Respite Centre providing these key services:

    • Rehabilitation
      1. Return to Work (RTW) Programme,  which aims to support the vocational goals of clients aged between 18 to 67 through a proactive, holistic and individualised approach, facilitating opportunities to achieve suitable and sustainable employment
      2. Day Rehabilitation Programme, which aims to provide Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Pilates rehabilitation, with the goal of working towards integrating persons with physical disability back into society
    • Training courses to equip clients with the relevant skills to enhance their employability e.g. certified LCCI book keeping, hospitality and customer service
    • Respite for caregivers, with centre and home-based respite services, to cater to the physical and mental well-being of the caregivers of the physically challenged persons & stroke patients. ABLE has a satellite centre, Agape Respite@MDAS since September 2013, a collaboration between ABLE and the Muscular Dystrophy Association (Singapore)
    • Wheelchair accessible vans to provide transport at reasonable rates
